Activity Safety Framework

LumiQuest practical activities are deliberately constrained to low-risk educational tasks and parent-guided planning.

V4 Founder Beta draft • Last reviewed 27 July 2026 • Requires operator/legal review before commercial launch

Supervision labels

Low: simple paper/browser task with ordinary family oversight. Together: parent should review and participate. Adult required: adult must directly control the real-world activity and hazardous steps.

Excluded child instructions

  • No weapons or self-defense training.
  • No fire-making, open-flame experiments or explosive activities.
  • No chemical mixing or pesticide handling.
  • No medication instructions.
  • No unsupervised knife, stove, oven, power-tool or electrical repair instructions.
  • No dangerous wilderness survival techniques.
  • No climbing, structural renovation or heavy-load construction guidance.

Cooking

Adults select ingredients, check allergies/choking risks, handle cutting and hot steps, and follow food-storage guidance. Younger-child recipes use parent-prepared ingredients.

Gardening

Adults choose non-toxic plants, soil/products and safe locations. Children should not taste unknown plants or handle mold, pesticides, animal waste or sharp garden tools.

Reporting and review

A production CMS should require age, supervision, hazard, external-link, factual and editorial review before any child-facing activity can be published.
